Privacy
Kubo has no backend and no account. Your data stays between your device and the systems you point it at.
What we collect
Nothing.
Kubo has no server component. It does not create an account, does not sign you in, and does not send your usage, your cluster contents, your logs, your queries or your credentials to us or to anyone else.
What the app stores on your device
- Connection settings — names, URLs, namespaces and display preferences — stored as ordinary app settings.
- Credentials — tokens, passwords, API keys, certificates and CA bundles — stored in the operating system’s secure storage (Keychain, Android Keystore-backed storage, or the platform equivalent).
- Bookmarks and recent pages — stored locally so the app can bring you back to a screen.
Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
What the app sends, and where
Only requests to the endpoints you configure — your Kubernetes API server, your ArgoCD instance, your broker, your bucket, your database. Those requests carry the credentials you gave for that connection, and go directly from your device to that endpoint.
If you create a presigned S3 share link, it is generated on your device with your own credentials and expires on the schedule you choose. Where you send it is up to you.
Third parties
The app has no analytics SDK, no advertising, no crash-reporting service and no third-party trackers.
The app stores you install from apply their own policies to the download and purchase process; those are between you and the store.
Permissions
Kubo asks only for what a feature needs — network access, and file access when you download an object from a bucket to your device.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
